¡Bienvenidos a la familia!
Building the next generation of Hispanic engineers, together. SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development.
"Diversity is not just a metric; it is the catalyst for the innovation that will solve the next century's most pressing engineering challenges."

OUR MISSION
SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development.
Our chapter at Boston University provides a home-away-from-home for engineers, designers, and scientists, offering a unique blend of professional mentorship and academic rigor.
Every year, we take members to the SHPE National Convention — the largest Hispanic technical conference in the world. It's where résumés meet dream jobs.
Giving back is in our DNA. We mentor local high school students and run workshops to inspire the next generation to pursue careers in STEM.
From LinkedIn optimizations to technical workshops with industry partners, we ensure our members are ready for the workforce.
Indianapolis, IN. The chapter sends a delegation to the largest gathering of Hispanic STEM professionals in the country. Four days of recruiter interviews, the two-day career fair, technical workshops, and the closing-night familia gala.
Industry recruiters on campus for one-on-one resume reviews, mock technical interviews, and a panel on landing your first SWE or ME role. The chapter's flagship fall professional-development event ahead of the recruiting cycle.
Kick off the fall semester with the chapter. Returning members reconnect, new recruits meet the board, and we run informal study-group signups while sharing food and resources for the year ahead.

Whether you are a student, alum, or corporate partner, there is a place for you in our mission to change the face of engineering.
